Where does palmistry come from?
Like all divinatory arts, its history goes back a long way, and its origins are related to those of astronomy and mathematics. I know
have indications that palmistry was already practiced in India, Mesopotamia, Egypt, China and India, and even among the populations of the
Pre-Columbian America. However, ancient palmistry was rather chirosophic: its purpose was not to divine the future, but rather there was a mystical component in it, and often also curative.
Palmistry is the art of reading the lines of the hand. For many years it has been linked to the art of divination and scientists have considered it a pseudoscience, although in some investigations the study of the hands has highlighted certain correlations between its structure, symbolism, and the health of the people as an object of study.
Because we have discovered that our body is a whole, and that each of its parts is linked to all the others. And, just as acupuncture and acupressure act on certain external areas to influence other internal areas of our body, we also find all other parts of the body reflected on the surface of the hand. We must not forget that our hands are ours
more mobile, more accessible element; it is logical that everything else is reflected in them. Thus, the hands have a series of important characteristics that are related to the rest of our being.
For example, there is a theory that the left hand of a child hereditarily corresponds to the left hand of his mother, while the right hand corresponds to the right hand of his father. Also the left hand is related to our genetic and subconscious traits, while the right reflects our relationships with the outside world. The left hand is the past; the right, the future.
Chirology came to be approved as a specialized Natural Science within Psychology, at the Congress of Experimental Psychic Sciences in Paris in 1913. However, palmistry was linked for many years to the popular art of predicting the future of people. In some populations such as the gypsy they had a strong popular roots. This is why scientists have linked palmistry to divination and the occult.
Palm lines
There are seven lines of the hand:
1 Life line
2 Head line
3 Heart line
4 Ring of Venus
5 Sun Line
6 Mercury Line
7 Lucky line
Through these lines, mountains and small symbols, the palmists identify past, present or future events of the consultant.
According to palmistry, destiny can be read on the palms of the hands by representing the predisposition of a person’s genes. The lines and symbols on the hands would be like a simplified genetic map.
Thus, just as it is proven that a person may be predestined to suffer certain pathologies in the future through their genes, it could also be possible to know how his behavior will evolve throughout his life, by observing the hands.
The structure of the reading
or study of the hand
The study of the lines of the hand is normally carried out on the left hand, whatever the dominant hand. Although the right hand usually serves to confirm or refute doubts and contradictions. The palm of the hand should be open with the palm in view of the reader or palmist. The lines of the hand are divided into two groups: the major and minor lines. There are three major lines and numerous minor lines that do not always appear in their entirety.
You can find palmists with private consultations and high prices for the study of the hand, such as palmists installed in central areas of cities with a large influx of pedestrians who practice palmistry and other esoteric arts in exchange for the client’s will.

HOW TO READ THEM
There are different ways to read the hand, one of the most famous is to read the five lines:
line of life, wisdom line, line of love, line of destiny and line
of marriage
Line of life
Also called “land line”, it is the line that extends around of the thumb, and reflects health and physical vitality.
Wisdom line
Also called the “human line”, it extends from the middle of the thumb and forefinger to the other side of the palm. Usually it looks like you are
dividing the palm, and reflects the mindset and personality of a person.
Love line
Also called the “sky line”, it is the line that extends under the finger little finger to index finger. Reflects life and love attitude.
Fate line
Also called the “running line”, it is the line that extends from the wrist to the middle finger. It reflects one’s fortune and career.
Marriage line
It is a short line between the love line and the little finger.
It reflects romantic relationships and marriage.
Children’s lines
These are thin vertical lines that extend from the “marriage” line.
If the first of the rib is a long line and then a short line, then the child will be born First. The number of lines of children shows how many children can, in principle, born in a union of love.
The fingers
The study of the fingers of the hand constitutes one of the most exciting and difficult sections of quirology, precisely because of its multiplicity of shapes and characteristics.
The hills
The mountains constitute the areas of the palm of the hand that form protruding fleshes that, to a greater or lesser degree, we can Pinch. The mountains we find are the mount of Jupiter, Saturn, Sun, Mercury, positive and negative Mars.
The two most important mountains are those of Venus and the Moon.
